Course Introduction:

ITIL 4 is an evolution from ITIL v3, providing a practical and flexible transition that allows organizations to adopt the new ways of working required by the modern digital world. This update on ITIL reflects the fast-paced and complex environment we live in, and new ways of working and emerging practices. All of which are essential not only for ITSM professionals, but also for a wider range of professionals working in the world of digital transformation. The purpose of ITIL 4 is to provide organizations and professionals with comprehensive guidance for managing information technology in a modern service economy.

 

Course Description:

The ITIL® Specialist – High Velocity IT (HVIT) course is one of five courses required to achieve ITIL 4’s Managing Professional (MP) designation.

As organisations use information and related technologies to do business differently, the ability to rapidly launch new products and services to keep up with the competition becomes critical. To compete in this high–velocity environment, organisations must greatly intensify their agility, speed, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness.

This 4-day course encompasses the ways in which organisations and digital operating models function in high–velocity environments, with a focus on the quick delivery of products and services to gain maximum business value. This qualification will provide IT practitioners with an understanding of working practices like Agile and Lean, and technical practices and technologies such as cloud, automation, and automatic testing. 

 

Audience:

  • individuals continuing of their journey in service management 
  • ITSM managers and aspiring ITSM managers 
  • managers of all levels involved in shaping direction and strategy or developing a continually improving team 
  • existing ITIL qualification holders wishing to develop their knowledge.

 

Prerequisites:

 ITIL® 4 Foundation (not ITIL® ver 3)

Review ITIL 4 Foundation course

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the course, sudents will be able to:

  • Understand concepts regarding the high-velocity nature of the digital enterprise, including the demand it places on IT, 
  • Understand the digital product lifecycle in terms of the ITIL ‘operating model', 
  • Understand the importance of the ITIL guiding principles and other fundamental concepts for delivering high velocity IT, 
  • Know how to contribute to achieving value with digital products

  • 4-5 hours of evening work is required in order to take the exam 
  • Classroom lecturing. 
  • Individual and group assignments. 
  • Exam preparation session
